The Outer Banks is a beautiful place to be in the fall. The weather is cooling off, the leaves are changing color, and there are plenty of events to attend. Here's a guide to some of the best fall events on the Outer Banks:

 

OBX Jeep Invasion - Oct 7-9

Obviously for Jeep enthusiasts!  Have a jeep?  Come show it off!  Bringing together Jeep-minded people for fun, adventure and giving back to our beach community. 

Outer Banks Seafood Festival - Oct 15

Seafood lovers rejoice! This festival has something for everyone. There will be seafood vendors from all over the area, cooking demos, and live music. This is a can't-miss event for anyone who loves seafood.

Down the Road Surf & Art Festival - Oct 15-16

Combining two of our favorite things, Down the Road Surf & Art Festival is an annual event that you won't want to miss!  This annual festival celebrates surf culture with art, music, and spirits. There will also be surfing competitions and works from local artists on display, so you can take home a little piece of OBX culture with you..

Bluegrass Island Musical Festival - Oct 19

This one-day festival features some of the best bluegrass bands in and around the area. This is a great event for music lovers of all ages. 

OBX Windsurfer Competition - Oct 22-29

This annual competition attracts windsurfers from all over the country. A great event for anyone who loves windsurfing or watching competitive sports.
 

OBX World Music Fest - Oct 28-29 

Festival featuring two days of nonstop music. 

OBX Marathon - Nov 11-13

This annual marathon attracts runners far and wide. The marathon starts in Nags Head, runs through many scenic areas including Nags Head Woods and along the sound and finishes at the Wright Brothers Memorial. This is a great event for runners of all levels.
